Get Started

You will need to have have a warrant check and background check with fingerprinting in order to get a Pedicab Drivers License. These are required by the City to get your license. It'll take a few days to get these documents and about $50 but well worth it once you start earning cash every night, plus all the money you'll be making during events such as home Astros, Texans, Rockets games,  Concerts and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

 

Before you can get these documents you'll need to have a valid Drivers License. If you don't have this then getting it is your first step. Also, the background checks for the City of Houston is different from the City of College Station. You will need to get both background checks completed if you want to drive in both cities. 

 

Here are the documents you need to get your Pedicab Driver's License for the City of Houston -

  • Applicant packet - COH Driver's License, including: 

    • Traffic warrant check from Municipal Courts 

    • Texas Driver's License 

  • Go to IdentoGO website and set up your fingerprint background check. Use Service Code 11GYVN. You will need to provide the Agency Number HL-ARA. This document will be ready 2-5 business days later. Certain items in a 10-year history may require a hearing to authorize or deny. The hearing is conducted in compliance with the Texas Occupations Code standards.

  • Method of payment: cash, check, cashier’s check, money order, or debit/credit card.
